• West Bengal Police Constable Age Limit: (As on 01/01/2024)
Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2024.
pper age limit shall be relaxable by 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC, Transgender and 05 years for Civil Volunteers/ Village Police Volunteers.
• West Bengal Police Constable Salary:
₹ 18730—68040 + Grade Pay ₹ 4400 + other admissible allowances.
• West Bengal Police Constable Eligibility Criteria:
(1) Candidates must have passed the Madhyamik Examination (Matriculation or 10th class equivalent) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
(2) The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language, provided that the provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts. For the applicants of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 shall be applicable.
